The vacation begins the minute you step onboard. See Australia’s Red Centre while traveling along one of the world’s longest and straightest stretches of railway track. The Indian Pacific travels twice weekly in both directions. Sights to enjoy on this journey include the Blue Mountains and the Nullarbor desert. For an extra charge, Gold Kangaroo passengers have the option of off-train sight seeing during scheduled stops. This option is typically unavailable to Red Kangaroo passengers, unless extra slots are available. While you’re at it, try to spot the Australian wedge-tailed eagle whose wingspan can easily reach up to six feet. The Indian Pacific Tour offers great food, a friendly staff, and breathtaking scenery. This is by far the most relaxing way to explore Australia from coast to coast.
